Founded in 1888, La Pleine Lune Winery is proud to be the oldest family-run winery in Valais.
Ideally nestled at the foot of the renowned Saint-Pierre-de-Clages church, embraced by the gentle shadow of its iconic octagonal bell tower, it captures over a century of rich winemaking tradition and expert craftsmanship.
Today, the winery is led by Christian Crittin, supported since 2023 by his son Marc, who passionately carries forward the family heritage and love for the Valais terroir.
Being an independent winemaker is much more than a profession: it is a craft passed down from generation to generation.
From the vineyard to the cellar: vine work, harvest, winemaking. Every step is carried out with rigor and passion, never forgetting the essential element: direct contact with our customers.
For over a hundred years, our commitment has remained the same: to offer exceptional wines that combine authenticity, quality, and respect for the environment.
Year after year, each wine reflects both its terroir and the hand of the person who cultivates it.
Hundred years past. In 1988, the 5th generation took the torch. After his wine and oenology studies, Christian took over the business with his wife Anne-Lise.
With great perseverance and dynamism, he gradually transformed the vines and adapted them to modern times. New grape varieties were cultivated such as white and reds, Petite Arvine, Humagne, Syrah and Merlot.
The future? It's already here! Marc Crittin works in the cellar and shares his passion every day which has been passed on through generations.
They are proud to carry on the craft of their ancestors.
Like a precious stone set in a rock setting, Chamoson stands out with its mineral environment: a unique landscape for a unique terroir. 90% of the vineyard is located on an alluvium cone.
Thanks to the Mediterranean climate of central Valais, our vines benefit from exceptional exposure of more than 2,500 hours of sunshine per year.
With a surface of seven hectares, our domain is located on 43 plots.
We cultivate 21 different grape varieties.
